The hydroplane races on the Detroit River, and the panoramic view from our site, are one of the high points of summertime entertainment in Detroit. The Roostertail's waterfront setting is the hottest spot to get the coolest view of the speed and spray of these fantastic power boats.
The Roostertail has a longstanding involvement in the highly exciting sport of hydroplane racing and have been involved since the early 1950's. The Roostertail has become the most renowned and famous place to witness this time-honored Detroit tradition.
As 2007 marks the 103rd Anniversary of Gold Cup Racing in North America, thousands of spectators will be in attendance for this spectacular, three-day historic event.
The Roostertail will again be poised to make history as the one and only place to experience the thrills of the Unlimited Hydroplane Racing. Plan to be a part of the Centennial milestone experience by celebrating at the Roostertail.

The "great lakes favorite son" Pat Dailey returns to the ROOSTERTAIL for another "LIVE" performance. Pat is known for his legendary summer shows in Put-In-Bay and Key West, Florida. Enjoy an evening of humor, crowd participation and lots of spirit while entertaining clients, celebrating a birthday, anniversary or post-holiday company outing. Pat's winter shows are a long standing tradition at the Roostertail, and we're proud to have him back.
Tickets are only $25 for first come first serve seating in our general admission section. The Roostertail will again offer a limited amount of $75 VIP dinner/show tickets which include a "Winter Warm-Up" dinner before the show and reserved table seating up front for Pat's performance. Tickets can be purchased individually or in tables of ten.
